The cross-border ethnic groups between China and Myanmar have always had a tradition of friendly exchanges . In the post pandemic era, cross-border ethnic groups exchanges between China and Myanmar have generated new trends and characteristics.This proposal aims to select the cross-border ethnic groups of Jingpo, Wa, Deang, Hani, Lahu, Dai, Lisu, and Nu in the border areas of Yunnan Province as the research objects, to sort out and explain the tradition, current situation, and future of cross-border ethnic exchanges between China and Myanmar. The study will focus on the basis, level, channels, and mechanisms of exchanges, and explore the characteristics and reasons for changes before and after the epidemic, Explain and explore the new characteristics of communication in the post pandemic era. Promote friendly exchanges between cross-border ethnic groups between China and Myanmar, and maintain border peace between the two countries. The field focus of this study mainly focuses on the cross-border ethnic distribution areas along the China Myanmar border, as well as the Dehong Ruili Port, Xishuangbanna Daluo Port, Lincang Yonghe Port, and Tengchong Houqiao Port.
