The advent of COVID-19 led to increase various kinds of experiences faced by workers serving at grassroots. The present paper deals with relationship between the advent of COVID-19, its impact on the work of Anganwadi workers. Resulting in fear for themselves and family; social and psychological distress.
Long Abstract
:

On 11th March 2020 World Health Organization’s Director General has declared Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a pandemic. We have been witnessed a rapid growth in numbers of confirm cases all around the world. India has been taken essential actions as per WHO guidelines on this pandemic. Several new policies have been devised by the state to combat COVID -19 and to provide relief to its population especially for rural people and labourers. Grassroots workers were central as they have to implement the state polices at the ground. In this context, present paper deals with relationship between the advent of COVID-19, its impact on the work of Anganwadi workers. During COVID 19, Anganwadi workers has to work in a transformed workspace where negotiation was hard and challenged. There were constantly fear of contagion while doing daily work in the village with shrinking support. Working in a hot-spot area was so much difficult. This, resulted in fear for themselves and family; social and psychological distress. Methodologically, this research paper is based on primary data collected from interview with local grassroots worker.
