Long Abstract
:

North Madras, a region synonymous with sports, no longer stays the same due to the industrial developments that have been posing a threat to the people's well being. Known as mini- Brazil the region has been producing several national players of football and other relatable sports along with the coming out of their povertized living. The present article is based on secondary  informations collected from different sources like internet, literature, government organisations, NGO's and all other sources dealing with the industrial regions of North madras. The reason for the jeopardization of health conditions among the players is identified to be the environment that these people live-in. Ennore region with a 1830 MW of coal fired electricity generation capacity and 1500 MW power plant, also has a great number of industries (34 industries) that comes under the red category. The Kosasthalaiyar river base covering the Industrial plants has been a zone of black and ash out spots since the industrial developments took place. The water choked with sludge from petrochemical industries and fly ash from coal filled thermal power plants, the coal ash dumps near living areas, toxic waste flows into the neighborhoods through leaking pipelines are the major things that take on the threatful situation. According to reports, air borne Ash can be harmful to lungs and can cause detrimental effects on physical, cognitive and emotional development of individuals. There are chances for genetic respiratory illnesses formed among people especially among children as their pulmonary tracts are susceptible to air pollutants. This study focuses on the health of sport players as sports stays as their scope of livelihood for decades and this has put a question on how these people's physical and mental health could be regulated since the threats that they are facing are already non-residual in nature.
