This research paper briefly Introduces the Gaddi Tradition of Nawala . And it has an important role in the Gaddi community. Nawala is a kind of festival of Gaddi people living in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, which is celebrated for a special purpose. This festival worship Parvati Shiva and Sita Ram. Nawal are Celebrating if any wish is fulfilled, if it is the Mudan of a child and Marriage then nawala is organized. It is specially done in praise of Parvati and Shiva and this festival has a night long program in which the whole night is sung through Anchali, and Chambiyali Dham (Food) is Served on the second day. First this research paper introduces meaning of Nawala and then will try to apply its theory of social relevance.
