The paper investigates the celebration of festivals and events as ways to foster belongingness. By studying the experiences of Arunachali migrants in Delhi, this research provides insights into their motivations, challenges, and community dynamics.

Migration is a complex phenomenon influenced by various factors, and its consequences can vary significantly. This abstract focuses on the migration patterns of people from the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh in India. Arunachal Pradesh is a young state that is still striving for progress in various fields. Many individuals from Arunachal, particularly students with favourable family backgrounds, migrate to cities like Delhi, Dehradun, Bangalore, and Guwahati in search of quality education and opportunities. This paper explores the reasons behind this migration and examines the successes and challenges faced by Arunachali migrants in these cities. It highlights the formation of tribal societies as a means of support and belongingness among migrants from different tribal groups. The paper also investigates the celebration of festivals and the organization of events like freshers and farewells as ways to foster community and assistance. By focusing on the migration dynamics in Arunachal Pradesh, particularly in Delhi, this study sheds light on the motivations and experiences of migrants from the region.
