Long Abstract
:

Parenting is one of the essential components in any family as well as for the upbringing of the children. Single parenting earlier used to be a type of exception but not now. Single parenting is often judged as problematic which creates sets of concerns regarding many issues including issues of their children. Children raised by single parents face many things such as (a) feelings of abandonment, sadness, and difficulty in socialisation; (b) negative impact on a child's academic achievement; (c) poor behavioural outcome; (d) lack of authority or emotional support. In the interaction and interpersonal relations within the family system between parents, parents and children, their siblings living in the households have a better chance of cognitive development. In order to understand how single parents can steer their kids away from these pitfalls, it's important to look at various factors that can solve the negative impact. The source of the problem is not necessarily single parenthood itself, but a combination of economic pressures, family instability, and conflict between parents. Ultimately, the answer to whether single parenting affects any particular child depends on many factors. A single parent with adequate resources may provide a stable nurturing home in which children thrive just like those who have two parents. On the other hand, a single parent who has fewer resources and little time, energy, or skill for parental duties might have children who are at risk for various problems.

The objective of my paper is to understand various factors which produce single parents and factors affecting children who lack many things in life. A qualitative analysis will be conducted through case studies based on Lucknow.
