Long Abstract
:

This study attempts to explore the scenarios of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) of Indigenous People in Bangladesh as well as highlight the rights and challenges to indigenous cultural practices across the country. Bangladesh has a rich and diverse cultural heritage. Cultural heritage is often described as either tangible or intangible cultural heritage. Many studies have explored the tangible heritage of Bangladesh. However, the intangible heritage of Bangladesh is relatively unexplored, particularly the heritage of indigenous people. This is a qualitative study that includes secondary data, ten In-depth Interviews (IDIs) with experts and indigenous representatives, and four Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with the indigenous community representatives and university students to provide comprehensive insights. This study covers the vulnerable scenarios of the cultural heritage of indigenous people in Bangladesh due to several reasons. The policymakers should take into consideration the protection of the cultural heritage of Bangladesh.
