This team paper will discuss our internaitonal ethnographic- film of the KUSHI/DIZE, a solar -calendar scientific knowledge film making process. Kushi/Duze film making process carried out specific activities around image designing and constructioning. Specific scientifc solar-calendar cultural elements data collected by reading Yaohanb Liu and Yang Lu's classic writings on the solar-calendar culture from the Han /Yi people in China and Inca nation in Peru. Questionnaire survey, data search and interview methods have been adopted in order to improve professional understanding and learning. We will discuss our ethnographic film and reflecte three important principles to defende multiculturalism priniciple: (1)political philosophy of minority cultural right; (2)cultural preservation rights; (3) cultural heritage protection right.
We will share with panel participants our detail plans based on the development process of the filmmaking project ; clear international division of labor in the implementation of our scientific ethnographic film making action plans and smooth cooperation in responsibilities among scholars from European, African, Latin-American, Yi and Han Chinese scholars who participated the Kushi/Duze film project.
Five proposals for better conversation on the relationo between integration and multiculturalism will be presented: 1) tensions between multiculturalism and feminism; 2) postcolonial theorists; 3)principles of egalitarianism; contractarianism; utilitarian; 4) the issues of cultural essentialism and common value for humankind; 5) democratic and equality principes.
